EPD certifications. High security, transparent sustainability.
We are the first company in the world to obtain the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification for two of our bollards: models 275/K12-900 A and 275/K12 EMB 900-A, belonging to our High Security Line. The EPD environmental certification is a voluntary environmental product declaration, recognized worldwide, which defines the resource consumption (materials, water, energy) and the environmental impacts throughout the various life-cycle stages of a specific product. With this certification, a company is able to communicate verified and standardized life-cycle environmental data.
ClimatePartner Certified
Since 2020, we have measured our annual corporate carbon footprint with the support of ClimatePartner and, since 2022, we have also calculated the Product Carbon Footprint. This allows us to identify the most impactful areas, set reduction targets and plan effective measures to achieve them. The Hörmann Group, of which we are a part, also provides financial support for certified international climate protection projects from the ClimatePartner portfolio.
Maintenance.
We consider maintenance an integral part of our responsibility towards the environment: by ensuring the correct functioning of the bollard over time, we help extend the product's operational life and reduce the need for replacements.
